RTSE Context Menu Enhancements Documentation
Even if you didn't know that it's called the context menu, you probably know about the menu. When you right-click on anything, Firefox (and most other applications) creates a menu containing items based on the context of what you click. (Thus, the "context" part of "context menu".)
Now, Firefox's default context menu is pretty good, providing many useful features. (Navigation items, save/view images/pages, etc) But with RTSE, you get more.
With RTSE enabled, some Rooster Teeth-specific items have been added to the context menu when you click on certain types of page elements.
For example, when you right-click on any link to an RT forum (or group forum) thread, there are two extra items in the context menu: "Watch Thread" and "Go to Last Page"
"Watch Thread" is not the best phrase for it, because it actually toggles the thread in your watchlist. But since RTSE doesn't have really good access to your watchlist, it can't tell you if you're adding or removing an item from the list.
"Go to Last Page" should be pretty obvious. If you click it, RTSE will load that thread's last page. (This also works for RT user journal links)
If you right-click on an image for a tournament on RT, you'll get an option to jump directly to that tournament's participant bracket.
If you right-click on a user's avatar, you get a lot of extra options: *
"Send Message" - This will open up the post form for sending a PM to that user.
"Watch User" - Adds the user to your watchlist. **
"Block User" - Adds the user to your blocklist. **
"Add User to Friends" - Sends the user a friend request. **
"View User's Log" - Shows that user's activity log. (This only appears if RTSE detects that you're a sponsor.)
"View User's Journal" - Shows that user's journal page.
"View User's Images" - Shows that user's images page.
"View User's Comments" - Shows that user's comments page.
* This only works if you use the new user block style. Because links from user avatars now use the username instead of the user ID, RTSE is unable to find the user ID needed to create the user-related context items. In the new user block style, Ben did bury the user IDs deep in the avatar image's properties, so RTSE is only able to find the IDs with that style of user block.
** The links for unwatching or unblocking a user are different than the ones for watching and blocking. RTSE is unable to access your watch/block-lists, so it assumes that you do not already watch or block the user. I'm not sure if clicking them for people already in your watch/block-list will toggle the preferences, or just do nothing.
In the site's searchbar's results dropdown, if you right-click on a Group item, you have options to open the following pages related to that group: *
News
Forum
Images
Member List
* Depending on where you right-click over the item, the context menu extras might not always appear. The best way to guarantee that they show is to click over the group name, not the group image.
